this is what long covid feels like [CW: body horror illustration, occasional art nudity]

Symptom: Receptive and Expressive Language Dysfunction from Migraine

A human figure made out of geometric angular tiling shapes with a giant set of chaotic, swirling, flowing, twisting red line patterns where their head would be.

Pale lime green eyes look out from betwixt some of these many undulating lines, which are simultaneously red and a contrasting green, which when blended create a sanguine, metallic color. These bizarre lines might evoke a burning sun, calligraphy in Arabic script, or a yarn ball melded with an eldritch tentacle monster.

The body’s triangular faceted shapes are somewhat evocative of behind the scenes views of low poly computer graphics, or an aggregation of crystalline stalagmites. They fade between golden and redder hues in different areas.

All of this is on a Manila bookmark with antique clinical vibes, and in the memo section at the top handwritten is the title.
