this is what long covid feels like [CW: body horror illustration, occasional art nudity]

2025-2-20 thru 2025-4-30 too sick to draw

the bookmark with the figure is covered with layers of black ink brushed on. in the center of the black ink reads the caption, written in white. the top, where it usually reads "coordination" has been covered up and says "fffuuu" also in white ink. The date originally said April 13, and the number is crossed out and changed to 30. There was a hope before a reality.

Feb 20 – April 30, too sick to draw

The last few months have been some of my hardest yet, but I’m finally back here, and improving a little bit. I’m still worse than where I started before the symptom flare, but at least I seem to be stabilizing. I have a better understanding of some of the new symptom triggers, and maybe a dozen new symptom management techniques. Thankful for everyone’s kindness and support over the last few months, they really buoyed me.
